Accounts Assistant
Xpert Accountants is a successful growing accountancy practice based in the city of Manchester. Our core services include accounts, VAT and payroll services for small and medium-sized businesses.
We are seeking an individual who has knowledge of UK tax and compliance and can work 40 hours a week, is good with people, great with numbers, organised, self-motivated and who can work in partnership across all levels. You will be based at our office in Lahore and run our day-to-day financial administration, prepare books and provide general administrative support for senior accountants. You will be responsible for the dealing with client queries, accounts, book-keeping and general administrative duties. You will have a proven record of working in a team with excellent communication skills and the ability to learn new skills.

Job Description:
• Analysing and preparing quarterly and yearly bookkeeping accounts, for VAT Return submission to HMRC
• Reconciling bank, entering purchase and sales invoices, and balancing general ledger accounts
• Posting journal entries and payroll journals for quarterly and yearly accounts
• Processing companies' payroll every pay period, including calculating wages, deductions, holiday and sick pay, PAYE and issuing payslips, P45's and P60's
• Maintaining accounting standards by following policies and procedures, which comply with legal regulations and professional ethics
• Securing financial information by completing database backups and keeping information confidential
• Liaising with clients in a professional manner via telephone or email regarding accounting and/or payroll queries
• Dealing with client queries
• Tax return submissions

• Ability to complete general office administration duties
• All other day-to-day accounts/office duties e. g. to maintaining accurate files and enter data in a timely fashion
Person required:
• A friendly, grounded and trustworthy individual
• Fully competent with outlook & excel
• Previous experience in an office role is essential
• Experience of working within an accountancy practice will be advantageous
• Speaking English is essential.
AACA/PART Qualified and CA Part Qualified preffered
